Welcome to Avoca, an Irish, family-run business that is one of the oldest surviving manufacturers in the world, home to some of Ireland’s best-loved cafés and retail.
Once upon a time there was a Mill in the picturesque village of Avoca, County Wicklow. It was set up in 1723 as a co-operative where farmers could spin and weave their wool. Today, Avoca has grown into one of Ireland’s most loved brands producing signature throws and blankets, using natural yarns like lamb’s wool, cashmere, mohair and angora.
As travel restrictions are being lifted from next Monday (29th June), we look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country back to Powerscourt Estate. The Gardens are now beautifully in bloom and are a perfect place to visit to unwind and experience nature in all its summer glory.
We advise visitors to the Gardens to pre-book in advance online to guarantee entrance. Book on www.powerscourt.com/tickets.
