The Powerscourt Estate team is delighted to be able to welcome visitors from the rest of Ireland, from Monday 10th May. In line with the latest Government guidelines, we can welcome back visitors and annual members to enjoy the Gardens, Waterfall and River Walk (members).

tulips beautifully in bloom

Don’t miss the opportunity to see over 19,000 tulips in bloom at this year’s Annual Tulip Display, which is the largest display of tulips within any herbaceous border in the country.  The tulips are nearing their full colour but will remain in bloom till the middle of May with displays of tulips located throughout the gardens, from the Italian Gardens, Julia’s memorial to the Herbaceous Border.

Enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat at the Powerscourt Avoca Café, which must have one of the best views in Ireland. Take in the magnificent views of the Gardens from the Café’s outside Terrace, while you are served delicious food.

Highlights of the Waterfall

Visit Ireland’s highest Waterfall, Powerscourt Waterfall in one of Ireland’s most beautiful parklands at the foothill of the Wicklow Mountains. The Waterfall is 6km from Powerscourt Gardens. Marvel at this magnificent natural spectacle which stands at 121 m (398 feet).

*COVID Update – May 2021* 

The Powerscourt Estate team is delighted to be able to welcome visitors from the rest of Ireland, from  Monday 10th May.  In line with the latest Government guidelines, we can welcome back visitors and annual members to enjoy the Gardens, Waterfall and River Walk (members).

For the Summer months the Gardens are open from 9.30 to 17.30 and the Waterfall from 9.30 to 19.00. The River Walk is open to members only 9.30 to 17.30.

The Garden Pavilion is open for all of your summer gardening needs. Powerscourt Golf Club is open for members and visitors.

The Avoca Food Hall is open 7 days a week (9.30 am – 5.30 pm). Avoca Outdoor Hatch is open for takeaway coffee, toasted sandwiches & treats 7 days a week (10.00 am – 4.00 pm). Avoca Pizza Van in the Courtyard is open Fridays, Saturday & Sundays from 12 noon – 3.30pm.

Next week from 17th May Avoca Retail, The Design Loft and Neptune by Global Village will reopen.

The following facilities will remain closed under current guidelines.

(Shop open for whiskey sales only, Takeaway coffee and treats also available)
