Best-selling author Cecelia Ahern came to Powerscourt House in Enniskerry, County Wicklow this week to film her first ever acting role! The Irish author joined the cast and crew on the set of ‘Love Rosie’ for her walk on part as a guest in a sumptuous wedding scene in the ballroom of Powerscourt House.
‘Love Rosie’ is a film adaption of her book ‘Where Rainbows End’ and is expected to be released next year. This is Ahern’s second book which has been adapted for film, after the success of ‘Ps I Love You’ which starred Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. The cast of Love Rosie includes American actress Lily Collins who has been cast in the female lead while Sam Claflin plays Alex. Peter Gallagher from ‘While you were sleeping’ and ‘The OC’ also stars.
‘Love Rosie’ features two characters Rosie and Alex, best friends who are separated when Alex and his family move from Ireland to America. Will their friendship survive the distance and miles? We look forward to seeing the movie and finding out!
