Reviews of Powerscourt Gardens
“These gardens are world renowned and justifiably so. There are a number of individual gardens surrounding the central fountain (breath taking) and each has its own charm. There was a Japanese Garden, a fern grotto, ponds with brilliant water lilies, a formal garden, and then the Rose Garden. I would imagine this area to be at least 300 years old and the roses are just beautiful, brightly colored and wonderfully fragrant. I’m not much of a garden person, but this was really worth seeing.” Peter from Missouri in the U.S., Tripadvisor
“We have recently visited a number of old houses with delightful gardens, and I can honestly say this is the best we have visited, and is always the one we compare the others against.” Tripadvisor Member from Preston, U.K.
“Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to these beautiful manicured gardens. Allow yourself a few hours to wander and take in the scenery. The perfumed roses were spectacular. Lovely to take the time to just sit and drink in the beauty. The shops and cafe were very nice as well.” Tripadvisor Member from Brisbane, Australia
“We had a lovely morning walking around the gardens. Our favorite part was the pet cemetery, we were completely moved. It was a really nice way to start the day!” Nikki from Colorado in the U.S., Tripadvisor
“The view and the gardens are simply romantic, spacious and beautiful. With the mountains in the background it presents an awesome setting.” Tripadvisor member from Florida, U.S.
“For me, touring these grounds and gardens was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. We were a little early in the season to experience what these gardens must be like in full bloom but it really didn’t matter, as there is so much to look at. It does take some time to see everything, but it’s time well spent. Beyond the beautiful flowering shrubs and gardens, the statues, and the manor house itself, the trees are so enormous they are simply breathtaking. They are awesome, in the truest sense of the word…” Tripadvisor member from Canada
Reviews of Powerscourt Waterfall
“I’ve always loved Powerscourt waterfall. We had a big extended family picnic here in May. We were blessed with a hot sunny day. The kids went off playing in the river for the day while the adults kicked back, caught up… A lovely relaxing day in a beautiful scenic spot.” Catherine from Dublin in Ireland, Tripadvisor
“If you love nature than you’ll love Powerscourt Waterfall. Take some sandwiches with you and just relax on the grass near the waterfall. That place is amazing!” Tripadvisor member from Rimini in Italy
“Right in the wicklow mountains. A beautiful area. The waterfall and surrounds, views are wonderful. Only about 12 miles from Dublin city centre. Further on a few miles visit Glendalough. The scenery in all of this area is like heaven on earth. Give it a visit you wont regret it!” Rob from Dublin in Ireland, Tripadvisor
“The Powerscourt Waterfall is incredible. The visitor access (paid) is exceptional and it is a great place for a picnic or just an afternoon walk. The availability of bathrooms and play area for kids is a really nice touch also.” Tripadvisor member from New York, U.S.A.
“This is peace and tranquility at its best. Such beautiful breathtaking pictures can be captured here and no matter how many times you go and see the waterfall you find something new everytime.” Tripadvisor member from Kildare in Ireland.
